Programs & Eligibility
Every applicant must demonstrate sports participation as a prerequisite. Age limits, medium of instruction, and reservation policy at a glance.
AGE LIMIT
- No age limit for admission to the undergraduate degree programmes.
- Diploma in Sports Coaching: 21–45 years as on the last date of application. Upper age relaxation of up to 5 years for eligible categories.
MEDIUM OF INSTRUCTION
All programmes are delivered bilingually in English and Hindi. The USSU Entrance Test is set in both languages.
SPORTS PARTICIPATION REQUIREMENT
All applicants must demonstrate sports participation as a prerequisite:
B.S.S. · B.S.M. · B.S.J. · Certificate
Minimum participation at any level. Preference given to position holders.
Diploma in Sports Coaching
Two-time participation at National level (NSF / Association / SGFI / Khelo India), or two-time participation in All-India / Zonal Inter-University, or participation in any two of the above events.
RESERVATION & SEAT DISTRIBUTION
A Campus Open to Talent Across India
All seats are filled on merit. 50% of total seats in a programme are filled on an All-India basis, and the remaining 50% are reserved for students from Uttarakhand, as per State Government policy.

Kashmiri Migrant (Displaced) Students
+30 days extension on the last date of admission, up to 10% relaxation in the prescribed cut-off, and a waiver of the domicile requirement — per Ministry of Education, Government of India guidelines.
Foreign Nationals & NRI Candidates
Should apply through proper diplomatic channels — the concerned Embassy or the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) — with an NOC submitted at the time of admission.
